Finding Us

From the main road in Moalboal, look for the distinctive Villa Silana sign. Turn onto the short dirt road indicated by the sign and continue until you reach our secure gate (as pictured on the sign).

After booking, we send a detailed confirmation email with these directions, and often a live location pin on your travel day for extra ease.

Directions from Mactan-Cebu International Airport & Cebu City

By Private Car/Van (Recommended)

The most comfortable and convenient way to reach Villa Silana (approx. 90 km from Cebu City) is by a pre-arranged private car or van. The journey typically takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic and time of day, via the scenic South Cebu coastal road or the hill route via Barili.

Villa Silana Private Transfers

We highly recommend our private transfer service. Our trusted drivers will meet you at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (or your Cebu City hotel) and bring you directly to the villa in an air-conditioned van.

The cost is approximately PHP 4,500 for up to 7 guests (larger groups may require additional vehicles at an adjusted cost). This is often more affordable and hassle-free than online car services, as noted by our past guests.

To arrange, simply provide your flight details or pickup location when booking. You can even request a stop at a supermarket en route!

Self-Drive Option

Car rentals are available at Mactan Airport and in Cebu City. Villa Silana offers free, secure private parking. We can provide detailed driving directions upon request.

Travel time may vary significantly depending on traffic conditions, especially in Cebu City. We recommend allowing extra time if traveling during rush hours (7-9am, 4-7pm).

By Bus from Cebu City

The last buses typically leave Cebu City around 6-7pm. Check for the latest schedule as they may change seasonally.

For budget-conscious travelers, the public bus is a popular option. From the Cebu South Bus Terminal, take a yellow Ceres bus bound for 'Moalboal' or 'Bato via Barili'. Buses run frequently from early morning to late afternoon.

The journey takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, with fares around PHP 180-250 per person (air-conditioned and non-aircon options available). Alight at Moalboal town proper or the Moalboal bus stop.

Villa Silana Assistance

From the bus stop, Villa Silana is a short 10-minute tricycle ride away. Let us know your ETA, and we can help arrange a tricycle to meet you or provide directions for the driver.

By Van (V-Hire) from Cebu

Commuter vans (V-hires) also operate from Cebu City (often from Citilink Terminal or SM Seaside Van Terminal) to Moalboal. These are generally faster (2.5-3 hours) but can be more cramped when full. Fares are around PHP 200-250. This can be a good alternative for some travelers.

From Other Parts of Cebu / Other Islands

From South Cebu

If you're coming from Oslob (after whale shark watching), you can take a bus north, possibly transferring at Bato bus terminal, towards Moalboal.

From North Cebu

If you're coming from Malapascua or Bantayan Islands, you'll generally need to travel via Cebu City first and then follow the directions above.

From Bohol/Dumaguete

From Bohol? Take a ferry to Cebu City (e.g., from Tagbilaran), then proceed to Moalboal. From Dumaguete, ferry to Liloan/Santander in South Cebu, then bus north to Moalboal.

Exploring Moalboal with Ease

Tricycles

The local 'taxi' of Moalboal. Readily available and affordable. A ride from Villa Silana to Panagsama (restaurants, dive shops) is quick and typically costs around PHP 50-150.

We can call a trusted tricycle driver for you anytime.

Scooter/Motorbike Rental

Arguably the best way to explore freely! We can arrange scooter rentals (approx. PHP 500/day, helmet included), delivered directly to the villa.

Safety Note: An international driving permit is advised for foreigners. Always wear a helmet and drive cautiously.

Walking/Biking

Some nearby convenience stores or local eateries might be within a 10-15 minute walk. If we have bicycles available during your stay, you're welcome to use them (please inquire).

No Ride-Sharing Apps

Please note that rideshare apps like Grab or Uber do not operate in Moalboal. Don't worry, local transport is easy to arrange, and we're always here to help!

We offer complimentary, secure private parking on-site at Villa Silana, with space for up to 2 vans or 3 SUVs. If you are arriving with multiple large vehicles, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements if needed.
