General & Booking
Villa Silana is your private, modern, and luxurious hidden paradise in Moalboal! Guests consistently tell us they love the spaciousness, cleanliness, and the feeling of having their own exclusive retreat. As you enter through our large front gates, you'll discover a beautifully designed villa with:

Villa Silana is entirely private! When you book with us, the entire property – including the villa, private pool, jacuzzi, garden, and all amenities – is exclusively for you and your registered guests. Enjoy your own personal oasis!
Sandra and Harm are the proud owners of Villa Silana. Don is our fantastic Villa Manager who lives nearby. He is incredibly responsive and will be your main point of contact during your stay, assisting with everything from check-in to arranging tours and transport, ensuring your experience is smooth and enjoyable. Our standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
These times ensure we have sufficient time to thoroughly clean and prepare the villa for your arrival and for the next guests after your departure.
We always do our best to accommodate requests, but early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and whether we have other guests departing or arriving on the same day.
Early Check-in: If the villa is vacant the night before and ready early, we may be able to accommodate an earlier check-in. However, we prioritize a thorough cleaning between guests, which takes time. If you arrive early and the villa isn't ready, you're welcome to drop off your luggage at our staff house next to the villa. You can then explore Panagsama, have lunch, or even go snorkeling. We'll notify you as soon as the villa is ready.
Late Check-out: This also depends on whether we have incoming guests. Please check with us closer to your departure date.

From the main road, you'll see the Villa Silana sign. Please take the dirt road from there until you see our gate, as pictured on the sign. Upon arrival, simply ring the bell, and someone (usually our Villa Manager, Don) will be there to assist you. We also often send a real-time location pin on your day of travel for extra convenience.

The journey from Mactan-Cebu International Airport to Moalboal typically takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on traffic. We highly recommend arranging a private van transfer for comfort and convenience.
We can help! We have reliable transport contacts and can arrange a private van for you. The standard rate is PHP 4,500 per van (good for up to 7 adults with reasonable luggage). For larger groups or lots of luggage (e.g., 9 people with 9 suitcases), two vehicles might be needed for comfort.
You can pay the driver directly in cash upon arrival at the villa. Please provide us with your flight details (flight number, arrival time) if you'd like us to arrange this.
Tip: You can ask your driver to make a quick stop at a supermarket like Gaisano Grand Moalboal Mall on your way to the villa to stock up on groceries.
The most popular and convenient ways to explore Moalboal are:
- Scooter Rental: We can assist you in renting scooters, which will be delivered to the villa. The typical cost is PHP 500 per scooter per day. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to rent scooters so we can ensure availability upon your arrival. An international driving license is generally accepted.
- Tricycle for Hire: Tricycles (motorbikes with sidecars) are a common mode of local transport. We can help you arrange a tricycle with a driver. Some guests even swap numbers with a driver for easy transport throughout their stay.
- Walking: Panagsama Beach (main tourist area with restaurants, dive shops) is about a 5-minute scooter/trike ride or a 15-20 minute walk.
- Panagsama Beach (Sardine Run, turtle snorkeling, restaurants, dive shops): About 5 minutes by scooter/trike.
- Basdaku White Beach: About a 9-15 minute drive.
- Kawasan Falls (for Canyoneering): Approximately 30-40 minutes by car/van.
- Supermarket (Gaisano Grand Mall): About a 10-15 minute drive.

Villa Silana comfortably accommodates 8 guests in existing beds (2 queen beds, 2 single beds, and one California king-size bed).
Up to 10 Guests: We can accommodate up to 10 guests by utilizing an extra bed (e.g., queen-sized airbed or floor mattress) or a sofa bed. There is an additional charge for guests beyond 8, typically PHP 1,500 per extra person per night.
Children: Children who can sleep in existing beds with parents (e.g., under 6 years old) are often free. Older children or those requiring separate bedding may count towards the extra person charge.
Maximum Capacity: We strictly cannot accommodate more than 10 guests for overnight stays to ensure comfort and adherence to safety regulations.
Yes, a security deposit of PHP 3,000 is required upon check-in. This can be paid in cash. The deposit is fully refundable upon check-out, provided there is no damage to the property. We usually return this in cash after a quick inspection.
Our general house rules state "no parties/events" to maintain a peaceful environment for our neighbors. However, we understand guests may want to celebrate special occasions.
Small, respectful gatherings: For registered guests celebrating something like a birthday or a bridal shower (e.g., a nice dinner, some games), this is generally fine, provided noise levels are kept reasonable, especially during quiet hours (typically after 10 PM). Please discuss your plans with us in advance.
Outside guests: If you plan to have a few daytime visitors who are not staying overnight, they must be registered with us. No additional fees apply for a few daytime visitors for a simple lunch/dinner, but large, loud parties with many external guests are not permitted.

Yes, Villa Silana is family-friendly and suitable for children of all ages. However, please note that the pool is not gated or fenced, so young children should be supervised at all times.
The garden offers plenty of space for children to play, and we have some board games and outdoor activities available.
Breakfast is not included with your stay. However, you have a fully functional kitchen to prepare your own meals. We encourage guests to stop by a supermarket on their way to the villa.
Alternatively, we can assist in arranging food delivery from local restaurants for a small service fee (e.g., PHP 150 per trip). There are many great cafes and restaurants in Panagsama, just a short ride away.
Moalboal has limited dedicated food delivery app services like in big cities. However:

There's also a water dispenser providing purified drinking water. For outdoor cooking, we have a BBQ grill (charcoal provided).
Yes, we have a DeLonghi Magnifica S automatic coffee machine, and we provide complimentary coffee beans for your enjoyment! If you have a particular favorite bean, you're welcome to bring it.

The connection is generally very reliable and fast enough for streaming, video calls, and even remote work. Many digital nomads have stayed with us and been pleased with the internet quality.
Yes, the pool is completely private and exclusive to villa guests. It's not shared with any other properties.
The pool is approximately 130cm deep (around 4.26 feet), which is a great depth for lounging and enjoyable for most people, but please supervise children. Additionally, we have a private outdoor jacuzzi perfect for evening relaxation.
We provide bath towels for each guest for use inside the villa, as well as dedicated pool towels for use around the swimming pool area. We kindly ask that these towels are not taken to the beach or on tours. If you require extra towels for outside use, please let us know; a small fee may apply as per our house rules.
The villa does not have a washing machine for guest use. However, there are several laundry shops nearby. Our Villa Manager, Don, can assist you in arranging pick-up and drop-off services, including rush services (2-3 hours turnaround, depending on the shop's load) if needed. Laundry shops typically open around 8 AM.

- No smoking inside the villa (designated outdoor areas are available)
- No pets allowed
- Respect quiet hours after 10:00 PM
- Keep the gate secured
- Turn off AC and lights when not in use
- Supervise children around the pool at all times

Smoking is not allowed inside the villa. However, there are designated outdoor areas where smoking is permitted. Please use the ashtrays provided and dispose of cigarette butts properly.
We love animals, but unfortunately, due to past experiences and to ensure the comfort of all future guests (some of whom may have allergies), we have a strict no-pets policy at Villa Silana. We appreciate your understanding.
Light daily housekeeping (trash removal, bed making) can be arranged upon request. For stays longer than a week, we provide towel changes on the third day. We do not provide full cleaning services during your stay. Additional services can be arranged for an extra fee if needed.
Our Villa Manager, Don, lives nearby and is available to assist you daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM via WhatsApp, phone, or messenger. He will welcome you, can help with any issues, and assist with arrangements. While you have complete privacy in the villa, routinary maintenance like garden watering or pool/jacuzzi checks may occur, but always with respect for your privacy.

Absolutely! We have contacts with reputable local tour operators and can assist you in booking a variety of popular activities. Our Villa Manager, Don, is excellent at coordinating these. Popular options include:
- Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls (Badian): This is a must-do! Packages usually include pickup/drop-off from the villa, entrance fees, licensed guides, safety gear, a meal, etc. Costs are around PHP 2,000-PHP 2,500 per person (private tours might be slightly more). Ziplining at the start is an optional extra.
- Snorkeling/Diving with the Sardine Run & Turtles (Panagsama): We can help arrange guides. Snorkeling costs around PHP 300-PHP 1,000 per person depending on the package.
- Pescador Island Hopping Tour
- Whale Shark Watching (Oslob): Typically an early morning trip (e.g., 6 AM pickup).
- Tumalog Falls (Oslob)
- Osmeña Peak Hike (Badian): Around PHP 1,000 per person, including guide and transport.

The villa is rented as a whole private property. While prices on platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb might show variations based on the number of guests entered, the base rate is for the entire villa. For specific pricing for your group size and dates, please check our listings on your preferred booking platform or contact us directly.
Yes, we offer discounts for longer stays. For stays of 7 nights or more, we typically offer a 10% discount. For stays of 30+ nights, more significant discounts may be available. Please contact us directly for a custom quote for your long-term stay.

We don't recommend drinking the tap water. However, we provide a water dispenser with purified drinking water that is safe to drink and free to use throughout your stay.
We'd be delighted to help make your celebration special! Guests have previously asked us to help arrange birthday cakes, and we're happy to assist where we can. Please let us know your requirements in advance (ideally via WhatsApp so we can share pictures/options), and we'll do our best to coordinate with local suppliers.
Power outages occasionally happen in the Philippines, but Villa Silana is equipped with backup power solutions, including a battery backup system. Most outages are brief, and our backup systems activate automatically to ensure minimal disruption to your stay. During longer outages, we may request that you turn off the air conditioning units, as our backup battery system cannot sustain all air conditioners running throughout the night.
We provide basic toiletries including hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel. We recommend bringing any specialty products you prefer. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other personal items are not provided, but can be easily purchased at nearby convenience stores if needed.
For medical emergencies, there is a hospital and several clinics in Moalboal town. Our Villa Manager can assist in case of emergency and can help arrange transportation to medical facilities if needed. We recommend having travel insurance that covers medical emergencies during your stay.
